Pahiatua Swimming Carnival
Friendly rivalry between swimmers from the Eketahuna and Pahiatua Clubs will add considerable interest to the monster carnival to be held in tho Municipal Baths at Pahiatua on Saturday afternoon next. A team of the best two secondary girls, tw r o secondary boys, two girls and two boys from the primary department of the Eketahuna District High School will try conclusions with the choice of the local high school’s swimming talent. Aliss C. Wilson, secondary teacher at the southern school and, possibly Air. R. G. Lockhart, headmaster, will accompany the children. Other Eketahuna swimmers will contest tho handicap events. Tho Pahiatua Club’s remaining championships will be decided with the exception of the beginner boys and beginner girls’ dives which will be held at a chib night next week. As the proceeds are for patriotic purposes, it is hoped that tho usual public support will be forthcoming.
