Scout Farewelled

At the conclusion of the Patriotic Society’s function on Thursday, Mr. J. Hutton, chairman of the Pahiatua Boy Scouts Parents’ Committee, took tho opportunity of expressing to Cpl. Ewen tho appreciation of boys and the parents for the work he had done for Scouting. Mr. Hutton said that both the Scoutmaster and assistant Scoutmaster had made the supreme sacrifice in this war and it was then that Ralph had stepped up and assisted. On behalf of the boys and the parents’ committee be asked Cpl. Ewen to accept a fountain pen.
