P.D.C. Monster Staff Dance
I The A.N.A. Ballroom presented a scene of gaiety on Wednesday evening when some 1)00 dancers tripped it lightly to oxcellent music by a popular six-piece professional orchestra. The occasion was the monster staff dance organised by the social committee of the Premier Drapery Company to augment their soldiers’ hospitality fund, j and Mr. W. M. Sexton, managing direcIj tor and Mrs. Sexton were in attendance. No effort had been spared by the 'enthusiastic members and despite the hot weather the floor was crowded throughout the evening with charmingly dressed young ladies and their partners. Mr. Rees was in his element as Master of Ceremonies, and there was never a dull moment. Novelty numj bers added to the fun, the lucky winners receiving substantial orders for goods on the P.D.C. Serving supper was a triumph of organisation by members of the staff the long tables on tho balcony being attractively decorated with dahlias and asters. Both socially and financially the function was an outstanding success.
