Citizens’ Lunch Club

Mr. G. W. Callander’s illustrated address to-day is entitled “What Next,” air. W. Lawrie presiding. Boys Stole Car and Arms Three Wellington youths, two aged 16 and the third 17, appeared before Mr: J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Children’s Court, Wellington, yesterday on remand from Masterton. The charges concerned the conversion of a car and theft from the Home Guard headquarters of military weapons. They were arrested in Walrarapa when the car was recognised by the police as the one reported missing and the arms, two tommy-guns, a .303 rifle and a .22 pea-rifle, were found in the car. The youths were remanded for one week, tne Magistrate ordering that they should be kept apart from others In detention.
