An interesting appointment In Washington has beeu gained by Dr. Felix M. Keesing, well-known Polynesian authority, formerly of Auckland. He has been called to Washington to take charge of research work on Pacific Islands in One of the special Government departments dealing with the war—the office of Strategic Services. Educated at the Auckland Grammar School and the Auckland University Dr. Keesing was later on the staff of the Auckland Voung Men’s Christian Association. He then became general secretary of the association at Palmerston North, before taking up his research work.
