KIM BOLTON-KIWITEA BRANCH. The Kimbolton-Kiwitea branch celebrated its eight birthday at “Rhyani,” the home of Mrs M. Perry. The drawing room was tastefully decorated with bowls of spring flowers. The president Mrs W. G. Clapham, presided over a fair attendance of members. A vote of sympathy with the family of the late Mrs Hocking, the branch’s first president, was carried in silence. Mrs A. Smith was appointed delegate to attend the quarterly provincial meeting at Marton in September. At the conclusion of the business, members were entertained with musical items provided by Mrs Churcher and Miss Minson (Waituna) and Miss Fleury. A competition was won by Mrs Osborne. Following afternoon tea, Mrs Clapham thanked Mrs Perry for the use of her house, the performers for the delightful programme, and the hostesses, Mesdames W. 11. Gibson and R. J. Brown.
