Control of Fencing Wire
P*r Presa Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. It is announced by Hon. J. G. Barclay that a Control Order has been "azetted whereby fanners or other persons requiring supplies of plain fencing wire after to-dav must comply with '•ertain conditions which have been outlined to Fields Division officers of the Agricultural Department and to Primarv Production Councils. Retailers will be entitled to sell plain fencing wire in quantities not exceeding five hundredweight without authority, but for quantities in excess of this, it will be neeessarv for the intending pur-chaser-user to make application on the prescribed form. Applications for farming purposes will be dealt with by District Councils of Primary Production and for other farming purposes by the Fencing Material* Associations in Auckland. Wellington, Christchurch nnd Dnnedin. The Minister added that farmers who had been holding wire for defence purposes may now put the wire to its normal use.
