‘ ‘ THE MIKADO ’ * TO-NIGHT For GO years, the biting wit and bon mots of ex-Civil Servant and critic, Sir William Gilbert and the lilting music of Sir Arthur Sullivan have thrilled the world. Somewhere one of the muchloved operas of these two famous gentlemen is always being enacted. Now the Gilbert and Sullivan operas are to appear on the screen and the first of them, “The Mikado,” will be presented at the Foresters’ Hall Pictures to-night at 8 p.m. Kenny Baker plays the role lof Nanki-Poo, the role of Yum-Yum is portrayed by Jean Colin, Constance Willis, famous operatic diva, brings all her renowned vocal talents to bear on tho role of Ivatisha, while Alartyn Green, Sydney Granville, John Barclay, Gregory Stroud, Elizabeth Paynter and Kathleen Naylor, renowned members of the D’Oyley Carte Opera Company, interpret other important characterisations.
