MISS GRACE BISSET WINS LADIES’ TITLE At the Pahiatua tennis tournament, Miss Grace Bissct, after an excellent exhibition of play, won the ladies ’ championship singles. The following are details:— Ladies ’ championship singles.—Miss G. Bissct beat Miss N. Etz, 6—4, 4—6, S—6. Ladies’ championship doubles.—Semifinals: Misses Bissct and C. Boyd beat Misses Carter and D. Bolton, 6— i, G—4. 'Final: Misses Bisset and Boyd beat Mesdames Harvey and Nelson, 4—6, IG —5, 6—3. Combined championship doubles.— Quarter-finals: Callender and Miss P. Carter beat McLeod and Miss Wall, 4—G, G—3, 6—3. Men’s handicap singles.—Second round: Callender (3) beat Watts (18), GO —43; Ron Udy (12) beat Wycherley | (10), GO—4o. Quarter-finals: McLeod (owe 10) beat Ron Udy, 60—40; Twentyman beat Rawson, GO—4B. Semifinal: Twentyman beat Gregorie, 60—50. Ladies’ handicap singles.—Semi-final: Miss Etz beat Miss Bissct, 60—50. Men’s handicap' doubles.—Semi-final: Swainson and Callender beat McLeod and O’Connor, GO —55. Ladies’ handicap doubles.—Final: Misses Little and Smith beat Misses Carter and Bolton, GO—sß. a
