Obituary
MISS M. E. JONES, OF FEILDING The sympathy of many friends over a wide area will go out to Air. and Mrs. William Jones, of Chamberlain Street, Feilding, in the death of their daughter, Maud Escott Jones, which occurred suddenly on Tuesday night. Although recently receiving medical attention her condition had not given cause for serious concern, but on Tuesday she became seriously ill and passed away with tragic suddenness in the evening. Born in Feilding the late Miss Jones attended the Alanchester Street School. She took an enthusiastic interest iu the Alethodist Church work and for several years was a member of the church choir. An unselfish character, Aliss Jones will be remembered for the many acts of kindness to persons within her circle of acquaintances. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Airs. S. R. Taylor, of Aorangi, and a brother, Air. W. C. V. Jones, of Kimbolton. The funeral will leave the residence this afternoon for the Feilding cemeterv.
