In connection with the Atount Stewart pioneers memorial, Air. Joseph Jackman, of Feilding, has donated £5 towards the cost of the structure, which is being erected by Mr. W. Wilkinson, contractor, of Feilding. At the Feilding Presbyterian Church to-morrow the services will be taken by visiting ministers from the Bible Class conference. In the morning the service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. J. D. Salmond, director of youth work of the Church, aud the preacher at the evening service will be Rev. T. G. Campbell, of Kaikorai, Otago. The large steel standards being erected on the vacant section at the junction of East Street with the South Street intersection in Feilding has given rise to no little speculation as to the use they are to be put to. It is learned that the power board has acquired the property and the tall standards are being erected to support transformers in connection # with the main power lines into Feilding. In connection with the funeral bf the late Air. J. H. Thomas, the services at the Feilding Salvation Army Citadel and at the graveside were conducted by Colonel Alaeaulay and Alajor Brown. The pallbearers at the Citadel were Alessrs. A. Carman, L. Packer, H. Jacobsen (grandsons) and E. Wilson, V. C. Gaskin and J. Jellyman, and at the graveside Messrs. J. E. Worsfold, J. Noble, H. Aiudgway (Foresters’ Lodge), A. Harford, H. J. Dewe and N. Gill (Salvation Army). At the graveside Airs. N. Grill sang “The Christian’s Goodnight. ’ ’
