Christmas Party. At the Kauvvhata pa the Alaori Women’s Institute arranged a Christmas tree party for the oiiildren. JLu addition to tuo Alaori children the ueigubuuring pakeha youngsters were invited to participate and a nappy time was spent. Spoils were provided lor the children, followed by afternoon tea, icecream and sweets. ALrs. Poauanga (president) extended Christinas greetings to all and thanked, members fur their willing assistance at all times, before handing out the Christmas presents to the children. Gifts were also presented to the ladies from their * ‘ big sisters. ’ ’ Personal and General. Mrs. H. Pedersen and her brother Air. Allan Klink (Pohangina), visited the Exhibition last week-end and were the guests of their aunt, Airs. Crawford, at Wellington. Miss Pam Haythorne is staying with her aunt in Plimmerton. Air. and Airs. D. Thomas, Waldegrave Street, Palmerston North, spent Christmas with their son and daughter-in-law, Air. and Airs. W. E. Thomas, Milson’s Line. Air. Athol Thomas left on Wednesday on a visit to relatives in Hawke’s Bay.
