Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Tate, of Feilding, left yesterday on a holiday tour of the East Coast. Mr. and Mrs. J. Rowntree, Milverton Avenue, are spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs. D. Black, Frederick Street, has staying with her sister, Mrs. M. Hamilton, of Wellington, who will be her guest over the New Year. Miss C. W T arburton, College Street, leaves this morning for Mangaweka to spend New Year with her sister, Mrs. C. Dalgety. Mr. and Mrs. P. A. McHardv have returned to Havelock North after spending Christmas with Mrs. L. Bale, College Street. Miss Vera Royal, Ada Street, leaves this week to spend a month's holiday in Sydney, where she will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ernstrom. Miss Margaret Waldegrave, of Palmerston North, left last evening to spend a fortnight’s holiday in Auckland. Mrs. M. D. Colquhoun, 1 ‘ Te Rahihou," Halcombe Road, Feilding, and her family are on a visit to relatives in Wellington. Miss Daphne Davidson, of Christchurch, is spending her vacation with Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Scadden, Broadway Avenue. Miss A. Crawford (New Plymouth) and Miss M. Crawford (Wanganui) are visiting Palmerston North for tho holidays and are the guests of Miss E. Wadham, of Rangitikei Street. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Sargisson, Bank of New South Wales, Feilding, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Sargisson, junior, have spent tlio Christmas holidays visiting relatives at Wairou. The friends of Mrs. Maurice Mundy (nee Betty Bowater, late of Colyton) will be sorry to learn that sho has had to enter tho Waipukurau Hospital for treatment, and will all wish her a speedy recovery to good health. Miss Elaine Bailey and Miss Beth Parkes, of Feilding, are spending the New Year holidays visiting the Wellington Centennial Exhibition, and are among those staying at the Hotel Waterloo. Mr. and Mrs. Neil McFarlane, of Eastbourne, Wellington, en route to Auckland, broke their journey to visit Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Higgie, of "Bunnybrae." Private E. F. Kempthorne, of the Wellington Battalion of the Special Force, who is at present on final leave, has also been tho guest of Mr. and Mrs. Higgie.
