Young Farmers’ Club

On Tuesday afternoon delegates from the Young Farmers’ Club in the Bush district held a meeting in tho office of Mr. J. A. Walsh, Pahiatua. Mr. C. H. Wilton presided and Mr. Jim Cotter was elected secretary. The meeting was called to arrange a Held day of combined clubs, Eketahuna and Pongaroa to be included. Unfortunately these two clubs were unable to send delegates for the meeting. Mr. Wilton mentioned that Mr. J. Campbell, Mr. J. H. Bremner and himself would help to make the day a successful one. After discussion the combined fleld day was agreed upon and is to be held on Friday, March 5. It was left to the secretary to ask permission, for the Bugby grounds at Pahiatua. The programme will bo made up of four demonstrations and arrangements 'are to be made to secure Messrs. C. E. Vile, of Bulls, for Southdown sheep, A. J. Suisted, Palmerston North, the horse section, Mr. Murray, jnr., of Woodville, to lecture on a cow and Mr. W. Cameron, of Palmerston North, on farm machinery. Those present at the meeting included Messrs. K. B. Pryde, chairman Mangatainoka Club, J. Cotter vicechairman, W. Holdaway secretary, and H. Wilton, Ballance Club, J. Campbell and C. H. Wilton. An apology was received from Mr. J. Ammundsen.
