RETAIL PRICES OF NEW ZEALAND MEAT. The New Zealand Meat Producers 1 Board has been advised by its London manager that the following retail prices were being quoted for New Zealand lamb and mutton retailed iu London during January, 1937. These prices represent a fair averuge of the prices quoted by the better class shops iu Londou for the best quality of New Zealand Jamb and mutton. New Zealand lamb: Legs, 12d per ib.; shoulders, lid; loins, lid; necks, fid; breasts, 3d; forequarters, BJd; hindquarters, Hid. New Zealand mutton (wethers): Legs, 9d per lb.; shoulders, 8d; loins, 8d; necks, 4d; breasts, 2d. MONTHLY SHIPMENTS OF MEAT. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable from i«e> Londou office that the shipments from Australia, South America and South Africa to the United Kingdom during tbe month of January, 1937, were as follows: Australia: Carcases mutton, 93,403; carcases lamb, 371,125; quarters beef (frozen), 47,789; quarters beef (chilled), 5373. South America: Carcases mutton, 8800; carcases lamb, 477,869; quarters beef (frozen), 3485; quarters beef (chilled), 436,697. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia): Quarters beef (chilled), 7472. New Zealand: Caresses mutton, 56,276; carcases lamb, 901,989; quarters beef (frozen), 805; quarters bce f (chilled), 20,538.
