Miss Jean Mac Queen, of Glasgow, originally a typist, has been appointed chief executive of the Scottish Co-operative Union controlling societies with an annual trade of over £60,000,000. She was the only woman among 58 applicants. She recently toured America in charge of the Scottish women’s hockey team.
