The Hawke’s Bay representative tennis team to play Manawatu at Marewa, Napier, next Saturday afternoon for the Christie Cup is as follows: Men.—P. Watson (Hastings Tennis Club), H. Elliott (Hastings), J. N. Lowry (Hastings), F. W Forbes (H.DI), R. H. Milburn (H. 8.), R. J. D. Sharpe (Hastings) Emergency: W. Read (Hastings). Men’s doubles: Sharpe and Watson, Lowry and Milburn, Forbes and Elliott. ’ Women.—Team to be selected from the following:—Mesdames R. H. Milbum (H. 8.), J. Cotterill (Hastings), W. Mawson (H. 8.), Misses M. Glenny (Hastings), M. Budd (Hastings), A. Ormond (H. 8.), M. Evans (Nelson Park) and B. Griffiths (Hastings). Questioned this morning regarding the announcement of the women’s teams, the secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Lawn Tennis Association, Mr I. L. Prime, said that in all probability an announcement would be made tomorrow, Until then, of course, it. was impossible to give the combination* for the women’s doubles. The match will be played on the ccurts of the Hawke’s Bay Lawn Tenuis Club at Napier. Air H. H. Milburn is captain
