Electrician Farewelled

PRESENTATION TO MR. MANN. On Friday night an informal smoke concert was held in tho Pahiatua Power House and was the means taken by the officials of the Tararua Electric Power Board and local electrical firms to farewell Mr. H. K. Mann, who is leaving shortly to take up his residence in Pio Pio.

Mr. J. D. Wilson presided and Messrs. D. Fraser (rower Board engineer), Ford (inspector), Swindell (secretary of tho union), Nisbet and Russ Merrie made eulogistic references to Mr. Mann. On behalf of the Tararua Electric Power Board, a Loewe pipe and a filled tobacco pouch were presented, Mr. Mann suitably responding.
