Farewell Morning Tea For Mrs F.R. Hodge

HASTINGS, Jan. 30. Several members of tho Hastings Women's Community Club met in their temporary rooms yesterday morning, to bid farewell to ono of their members, Mrs F. R. Hodge, who has now loit to live in Auckland. The lounge was attractively decorated with large bowls of blue hydrangeas and beautiful dahlias in many shades. A very pleasant hour w a s spent chatting together and tho guests wer© quite envious of Mrs Hodgo being fortunate enough to live in Auckland, all agreeing that it was second only to Hawke’s Bay. The guest of honour wore a small giey tailored costume with deep blue bloilse, hat and gloves. Morning tea was enjoyed by everyone and afterwards Miss Helen Ford, on behalf of the club member, wjshMrs Hodge much good luck for the future and a happy home in Auckland. A charming farewell gesture of Mr* Hodge s which will be much appreciated was v tho giving of a donation towards tho furnishing fund for tho new club rooms. The members present were: Miss Helen Ford, Mrs W. J. White, .Mrs C. W. Hursthouse, Mrs E. Ballanfcyne, Mrs J. W. Bates, Mrs J. Harris, Airs A. Giorgi and Miss James. Mr and Mis F. R. Hodge and Mis« Freda Hodge were also tho guost B of honour at a jUca&ant evening spent at the home of Mr Harwell Kt A,ib\ n street, Hastings
