Soldiers’ Memorial at Otane

EXTENSIONS TO EE MADE. (Special to “Times”) OTANE, Jan. 30. A meeting of the Town Hall and Re serves Committee was held last night, Mr. R. H. White presiding over a full attendance. An offer was accepted to extend tho soldiers’ memorial by udding a cap of grey stone and to renew tho floor, clean and replaster the foundation bases with white cement and sand, and also to cover the curb wall with English white cement wash. The work will be begun shortly. The Women’s Institute was thanked for the gift of a table for use in the hall. An offer from the Institute to assist the committee in an effort to raise funds to curry out much-needed extensions to the hall kitchen was also gratefully accepted.
