FINES IMPOSED ON NAPIER OFFENDERS NAPIER, Jan. 26. Failure to stop at a compulsory-stop sign at the Ellison street railway crossing in Napier led to the conviction oi Crosleigh vVilson Packwood, of 'Wairoa, stock agent, by Mr J. Miller, S.M., id the*Napier Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning. Defendant was fined £2. with 10/- costs. Francis Dennis Buckley, of Whakatu, freezing works employee, was fined £l, with 10/- costs, for operating a motor-cycle without adequate footrests, and £5 with 13/- costs for failing to give way to a vehicle approaching from the right at an intersection. On the second charge an order was made endorsing defendant’s licence. D. McDonald, oi Napier, car sales-
man, was fined 10/- with 10/- costs for not having proper number-plates affixed to a vehicle he was E. A. Prince was fined 10/-, with 13/-
costs, for failing to signal a turn.
