Mrs Cyril King, who has been visiting Auckland, Tfturned to Palmerston North yesterday.

Miss P. Furlong, of Palmerston North, has been on an extended visit to Tauranga.

Mrs. H. V. Squire, of Palmerston North, is spending a holiday at Takapuna, Auckland.

Aftfer a visit to Miss Mary Evans, of Palmerston North, Miss Tui Anderson has returned to Carterton.

Mr. L. F. Cooper, bacteriologist at the Palmerston North Hospital, accompanied by Mrs. Cooper, left by car on Saturday on holiday to Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mason and their family, Reid's line, Feilding, have returned home after a motor tour of the thermal district and Auckland.

Mrs A. P. F. Chapman, England, who has come to New Zealand to stay with her parents, Mr and Mrs T. H. Lowry, Okawa, Hastings, spent a few days in Wellington with them before proceeding to Hawke’s Bay.

Miss M. Armour, of the staff of the Manchester Street School, Feilding, has received an appointment in the Auckland district. Miss Armour was assistant in the infant department and has had charge of the singing lessons there, being recognised as a very valuable member of the staff. Her work in teaching folk-dancing and such exercises, and in training the children for concerts and public gatherings, was of so high a character as to give Manchester Street «School a distinctive tone in that respect. An accomplished monologue entertainer herself, Miss Armour has been much sought after in musical circles in Feilding. She is a prominent member of the British Music Society. In the Presbyterian Church her activities have been of much value, and generally she will be greatly missed in Feilding.
