Tuesday,. The Government have resolved to in* vite tenders for the constru.cti.bnv of one hundred Railway waggons similar to those already m use m the colony* The telephone experiment between Mosgiel and I>u-nedin to-day was successful, the distance being fourteen miles. Mr Logan,. Telegraph. inspector* sung several songafram Mosgiel, e-very word of which reached Dunedin distinctly. The telephone instruments are merely line-wire.
