ANNUAL MEETING.
Wednesday, 19th Decembeb, 1877. The Mayor was installed at noon. After the Council adjourned and resumed again, his Worship proposed, and Cr. Owen seconded, That a special loan of £10,000 be raised 'to be applied as follows, — making streets and footpaths, £4000 ; clearing and forming bush-sec-tion roads, £1,500 ; road to botanical gardens and race course, £500 ; Square improvements, £500; municipal builddings, £500 1 sewerage and drainage £3,000.. ' - • Or. Jenssen gave notice of motion for changing the Council's meeting hour from 2 to 7 p.m. - Resolved, That the Council meet again on the 7th proximo at 2 p.m.
