MANCHESTER HIGHWAYS BOARD.
A special meeting of the Board, called by the Chairman for the purpose of apr'nting a valuator, was held at the & C.'jAid Corporation oflice, F.eilding, on Thursday, the 20th December, 1877. PBESENT. Messrs A. F. Halcombe (Chairman), Macarthur, Bailey, Linton, and Bartholemew. » TENDEBS. The following tenders were received for valuing the district :— Mr George F. Roe, £70 ; Messrs Harris Bros., £60. Resolved, That the tenders of Messrs Harris Bros, and G. F. Roe for the valuation of the district be rejected as , excessive. ; ' Resolved, That the Clerk be appointed valuator for a remuneration of £30.
