In the evening a torch-light: procession ''' of town and country fire brigades took place, and a grand display of fireworks, witnessed by 15jOOO people. At the firemen's, dinner afterwards, it was stated that during the last seven years the property insured m the city against fire had increased from "■■■five hufidred thousand to fifteen hundred thous&nd.
