(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUN.VYTHOIU’Ej. Sept. 30. The friends of Mr J. Armstrong will regret lo learn that he is an inmate of the Hospital. The Bunnytliorpc ladies’ basketball team are to he congratulated on winning the A grade competition. At a meeting of the Patriotic Committee arrangemcnlfi were made to tender a farewell to Mr I’. McCaffrey, who is leaving for overseas at. an early date. Arrangements were also made to canvass the district and hold a concert for funds in aid of the relief of distress through the bombing of Condon. The Bunnytliorpc Football Club held its annual dance in the public ball, when there was a very large gathering. The function was in every way a success. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Messrs Rohson and Clcvely. The Glaxo basketball team were successful in winning their competition. Mrs J. Sievwright, of Auckland, is the guest of Mr and Mrs A. H. Faulkner. Prizes at the last cuehre tournament were won by Mrs Guy and Mrs Entwislc (a tie) and Mr Allcrby.
