SUFFERERS IN LONDON
FUNDS TO ASSIST
The killing of helpless civilians in London by the Na.zis has steeled the hearts of British people in their determination to rid the world of such ruthless and barbaric militarists, and it is pleasing to note that the Lord Alayor of London’s appeal for funds for'the relief of inevitable suffering is meeting with a good response. In Feilding the fund has now reached £26,3 15s 6d. Mucli more than this amount is needed, and the latest Nazi atrocity in torpedoing a passenger liner transporting children to Canada, one subscriber states, will no doubt increase the enthusiasm which the appeal lias created to date. Donations may be left at the “Manawatu Standard’s” office in Kimbolton Road and will he acknowledged in the columns of this journal. £ s. d.
