ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
« CADET DIVISION
A new style of stretcher drill was introduced to the cadets of the St. John Ambulance f Brigade, after the inspection at their recent weekly parade. Three senior squads were chosen, and were instructed in the new methods by Sergeant Sebelin, the squad leaders later taking charge of their respective squads. Junior squads were given a chance to try this new method, after which one senior squad demonstrated the military way of transporting patients, tlie four bearers carrying the stretcher on the shoulders. This Week’s Dont’s.—(l) Don’t get excited and rush into a ease without properly diagnosing the injuries; make sure there aren’t more persons involved in an accident than is apparent. (2) Don’t underrate the seriousness of an accident; it is better to apply splints, etc., to a. suspected fracture than to leave it alone.
