PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The College Street School ladies’ committee had me patriotic .shop on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday last, doing good business and making iuRS 15s 6d. Mrs J. Kennedy and Mrs W. R. Ross were in charge. They acknowledge goods for competition as follow: Mm A. E. Dawe, doll, pram and cover; Mrs E. A. Cooper, duchess set; Mrs M. Ayers, worked apron; Mrs A. 'E. Dawc, lady's slippers; Mrs H. Ayers, cushion.. The Red Cross Society,’with Mrs W. H. Richardson as convener, had tho latter part of the week, their takings being ±ll6 8s Id. Goods for competition arc acknowledged from the following: Mrs Gough, blue cushion; Mrs B. Levy, black cat, “Spitfire”; Miss Gough, lady’s knitted cardigan. Goods and cash donated.—Mcsdamcs W. R.
