NOTES.
With the proud achievement of 62 years of service, the Woodville ’lent of the Order of Rechabitos - celebrated its 62ml anniversary in the Forester’s Hall on Monday evening, when members of the fraternity from neighbouring districts, including Palmerston North, wero present,, the visitors being warmly welcomed by Bro. E. Harding, Not the least interesting feature of the proceedings was the cutting of the birthday cake by Bro. 11. P. ilornc, who is the oldest surviving member of the local tent, with a remarkable record of 51 years’ service. A programme ’of dancing and amusements was held. Dance music was played by Mrs Schroder. Mr C. Oliver and Bro. D. Cook, and incidental music by Sister L. Mills. v
Mr D. Keay, secretary of the Woodviite Patriotic Society. acknowledges further donations to the Spitfire fund, as follow: —Previously acknowledged, £25 16s 6d; Dr. P. 11. Mules, £3; Mrs F. Kemp, Kumeroa, 10s; Anonymous, ss; 11. Beagley, £l, tola!, £3O 11s 6d. Mr Kcay also acknowledges donations to the London Relief Fund:—Previously acknowledged, £2 10s; Mr and Mrs C. B. Ball, £3; total, £5 10s.
