HIGHWAY FATALITY.

ACCIDENT AT TIAKITAHUNA

A fatal accident oreurred on the main highway opposite the Tiakitalitina hall about 6.45 p.m. yesterday, when a pedestrian, Mr George Rowland, was involved in a collision with a motor-car driven by Mr Alfred C. Stewart, farmer, of Opiki. Mr Rowland was killed instantly. Mr Rowland had bean visiting Ins brother, Mr D. Rowland, and was on his way to see another brother, Mr W. Rowland, who resides nearby. Deceased was a single man, aged 66.
