WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

PREPARING FOR CAMP

CITY COMPANY INSPECTED

Members of B Company of the Ist Batt., Wellington-West Coast Regiment, were inspected at the usual Saturday afternoon parade, held at the Showgrounds on Saturday, by the Commanding Officer, Lieuti-Colonel D. A. C. Lilburne, E.D./of Wanganui. The company was engaged in the normal training routine and Lieut.Colonel Lilburne, who also inspected C Company at Eeilding at the weekend, saicl that the unit would enter on its more intensive training course at the Wanganui Racecourse, on October 1, at full war establishment. The training now being undertaken was in preparation for the camp, and he said it was proceeding very well. Lieut.Colonel Lilburne was accompanied by Lieut. L. G. S. Cross, N.Z.S.C., adjutant of the battalion.
