WOMEN BOWLERS.

A very successful meeting, called to form a women’s bowling section of .the Takaro Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club, was held on Saturday, the club president (Mr F. Hearsey) presiding. 'J’lie men’s howling' section having a green to spare, it was thought that it would he wise if they could utilise that green by forming a women’s bowling section which would prove an asset to the club. After formal discussion it was decided to form a women’s section and twelve of the ladies present signified their intention of becoming members. It was thought that by opening day there will ho at least twenty playing members.
