DANNEVIRKE CHAMPIONSHIP

WON BY BULLICK

The Dannevirke Golf Club’s tournament was played on the Tahoraite course at the week-end. The championship was won by A. Bullick, who played splendid golf to beat H. Ivitt in the final. Both semi finals went to the twentieth green, Bullick accounting for L. Paewai, who put one out of bounds at the . last hole, and Kitt, who holed out from the hack of the green, beating O. LI. Williams. In the final Bullick was out in 38 and he finished the match with a thrilling sequence of a birdie at the Narrows (440 yards), an eagle 3 at Land’s End (435 yards),'and a birdie 2 at G. F.’s Fancy. Playing with O. 11. Williams (Manawatu) in the four-ball bogey, Bullick completed the round _ in 72. They won the four-hall after being 1-up at the turn and their best ball coming in was a 32 which gave them a card of 7-up. Bullick’s card read.—Out: 5 4 4 4 6 4 3 5 3—38. In: 45432552 4—34.
