FEILDING STOCK SALE.
FAT SHEEP FIRMER. BEEF DEARER. At tho Feilding stock sale yesterday the market for fat sheep w'as firm, for ewe mutton in particular. The yarding was smaller than last week’s and there was good competition. Store sheep were also in demand at prices on a par with recent quotations. In this section there was only a small offering. Fat entile sold well and prices appreciated, the rise being in respect of ex-dairy cows, which made up to £ll 2s 6d. - The boner and station cattle; penned in light numbers sold at steady rates, while there was a keen demand for the dairy cattle at fully firm rates. CLEARING SALE AT KIMBOLTON.
Dalgety and Coy., Ltd., report having held one of the outstanding clearing sales of this season on tho farm on Tuesday last, cn account of the Trustees of the W. Miers Estate, who have sold their property. Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was a very largo attendance of buyers from tho Wanganui, Rangitikei, Manawatu, Woodvillo and Pahiatua districts, who were keenly interested in the dairy herd and plant. The dairy herd, which comprised mainly second, third and fourth cal vers, commanded keen attention, the cow 9 in milk making from £l2 to £lB ss, and the September and October cal vers from £8 to £ls. The two-year-old heifers r.w.b. were rather on tho small side, tho tops soiling from £ll .to £l2 15s; yearling heifers realised £6. Tho farm horses, which wore a particularly useful lot, broken to all’work, sold under excellent competition from £l3 10s to £34 ; 4year old hacks, £lB 10s; unbroken hacks, £6 10s to £8 10s. A great deal of interest was taken in tho farm implements and milkinn- plant, which were in good order and condition and we report one of the keenest sales wo have seen for many years, realisations being well in advance of recent sales.
