A RECIPE.

MACARONI AND FISH

Grease a round cake-tin, then line it with buttered paper. Boil 1-i cups macaroni until tender, then chop finely. Pour 1 cup boiling milk over 1 cup white breadcrumbs (fresh, not dry), and allow to stand until milk is absorbed. Mix together with 1 teaspoon finely-chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon grated onion. 1 cup grated cheese, 1-j cups cooked and flaked fish, 2 tablespoons melted butter, pepper and salt to taste. Separate the whites from yolks of 3 eggs, add beaten yolks to mixture, then beat whites until stiff and fold, into mixture. Fill prepared tin and place in a dish of water, and cook in a fairly hot oven for 1 hour or until well set. Turn out on to a hot dish, remove paper, and pour over lemon sauce.
