WEDDING.

RODDY—HALL,

A wedding of interest to Palmerston North was solemnised recently at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, \Vilns Street, Wellington, the bride being Phyllis Florence May Hall, eldest daughter of Mrs F. Albert, and the late Mr W. A. H. Hall, of Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, and the bridegroom, George William, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. T. Roddy, of Brooklyn, Wellington. Rev. Mr Fagg performed the ceremony, and Mr Shortt presided at the organ. Mr S. Sligo, uncle of the bride, gq,ve her in marriage, and very attractive she looked in a black pin-striped tailored costume with white satin faggoted blouse, and hat and shoes and accessories to match. A charming bouquet of pink carnations, sweet peas, cyclamesi and maidenhair fern completed her ensemble. In attendance on the bride was Miss Daphne Hall (her sister), who wore a smart tailored frock of Marina blue with hat of the same shade, relieved with cyclamen veiling, and she had a bouquet of anemones and cyclamen. Mr R. T. Roddjq brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man. A reception was afterwards held at which 75 guests were received. Mrs Albert received her guests wearing a smart black ensemble, with fur stole and hat and accessories to tone, and a shoulder spray of red cyclamen and maidenhair fern. Mrs H. T. Roddy, mother of tho bridegroom, assisted, wearing a smart navy blue coat, with fur stole and hat to tone. The lounge was delightfully decorated with carnations and sweet peas in pink tonings and these colours were repeated on the tables, where pride of placo was given to a beautiful two-tiered wedding cake. The usual toasts wore honoured, Mr H. Hays acting as toastmaster. Numerous beautiful presents were received also many cheques; telegrams were received from Auckland and.other parts of New Zealand, also a cablegram from an aunt of the bride, Mrs T. Rowlands, of Sydney. Later, Mr and Mrs G. W. Roddy left on a tour of the South Island, where the honeymoon was spent. Their future home will be in Wellington.
