MARTON, Sept. 10.

In connection with the Day of Prayer held on Sunday, a special service was conducted by Rev. \V. Raine at St. Stephen’s Church, when members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, St. John Ambulance and Nursing Division. Red Cross Society, Boy Scouts, and the Mayor and members of the. Marton Borough Council and their wives were present. Mr G. B. Gregory, president of the Marton branch of tho R.S.A. read the Lesson. Similar services were held in other Marton churches. An inter-club table tennis match played at Sanson between Sanson and Marton teams was won by the home team by ■' 43 games to 29. - -
