PAINTERS’ AWARD.
NO SATURDAY WORK. / Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 10. _ The Dominion painters’ award is for a forty-Hour five-day week. All work on Saturday, except for those engaged on ship repair work, will be at double time. It will be a breach to engage in Saturday work except on ship repairing without a permit from the Labour Department. The minimum rate is 2s 9d an hour.
