FORMER POLICE INSPECTOR.

DEATH OF MR D. HUTTON. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, June 10. Mr David Hutton, formerly a police inspector, died on Saturday. He was born in England and came to New Zealand in 1579 He joined the Permanent Artillery a few years later and then transferred to the Police Force. He was stationed m Wellington Johnsonville, Gisborne, Dunedin, and New. Plymouth, returning to Gisborne with the rank of inspector_ in 1921. He retired four years later. His only son is rector of the Gisborne High School.
