BULLS.

BULLS. June 10. The Bulls branch of the New Zealand Red. Cross Society held a meeting at Miss Levett’s residence, Mr R. Mackay presiding, others present being: —Mesdames G. H. and H. O. Clark. Eyles, Douglas, N. Barnett, Eseott, F. Ellery, J. H. Ellcry, W. J. Ellery, J. A. Cornfoot, H. Edwards. 0. Button, S. Howard, D. Holland, 11. J. Hendry, Jeffrey Jones, A. McGregor, Ralfe, Westwood, Stewart, C. V- Green, R., M. Young and Curtis, Misses Broughton, Button, Graham, 0 Levett, E. Richards, Ralfe, Walker'and Mr G. H. Clarke and Mrs L. F. Homes, hon. secretary. Apologies were received from Mesdames A. Cole, F A Holland. H. Russell, R. Scott, T. R Willis,' R. Mackay, Misses Holland, , Willis and N. Wilson. All present were *’ected to form a general committee. The chairman reported thaE an offer had been received from Mr 0. Tong to augment the looal funds by donating his takings every other Monday night, to Commence as from June 10. Mr Mackay thanked Mr Tong for his generous offer. Mr Mackay also advised that 1 arrangements were in train for holding a concert at an early date. It was resolved to hold a shop, when morning and afternoon tea will be served in the supper.room of the Town Hall. Many offers of goods for the shop were received. The following committees were appointed: Afternoon tea, Mesdames J. H. Russell, Cornfoot, R. Mackay, Cole, H. Edwards, W. J. Ellery, Hendry, R. M. .Young, Misses Broughton and Walker; cake stall, Mesdames C. V. Green and 0. Button'; produce, Mesdames Scott and Jeffrey Jones; copper trail, Mrs J. 11. Ellery. A dinner was donated by various members and a competition for a basket made and donated by Mrs Ralfe was commenced. Members were very enthusiastic/ and all showed a willingness to assist in any manner possible. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to Miss Levett" for the use of her room.
