TE ARAKURA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE ARAKURA, June 3. At a meeting of the Te Arakura Women’s Institute, Mrs A. M. Whisker-, presided. A suggested programme- for June was: Lecture, competitions, six pieces of shortbread (these arc to he donated to the soldiers’ parcel scheme),, three vegetables (grown by exhibitor).- ' July-: k Demonstration, ' soft toys, _ competitions, savoury mould, best bloom in the garden. The committee stated that they were in favour of the Dominion conference being postponed for two years and that V'tho money contributed he donated for war purposes. Arrangements were made regarding the institute’s social and_ - dance. Memberswo re asked also to assist in the providing of the supper. Cards will be supplied for non-dancers. Full particulars are advertised in Inis issue.
