PETROL LICENSES.

GOLD COUPONS WITH DRAWN. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 3. Gold-coloured petrol coupons have now ceased to have .validity and are being replaced by special licenses, announced the Controller of Oil Fuel (Mr' G. L. Laurenson; this evening. “These coupons were issued for the convenience of commercial users- who travelled continuously,” said the Controller. “Unfortunately, it-appears they have obtained currency beyond what was originally intended. It has accordingly been necessary' to revert. to the former system of special licenses. Coupons obtained under monthly licenses issued during March and April may have ceased to have validity, and special licenses are being issued instead of gold coupons for June and the subsequent months.”
