VICTIMS OF NAZIS.
REFUGEES IN ENGLAND.
(British Official Wireless.) Received Maj' 17. 11.20 a.m. RUGBY, May IG. The London County Council is arranging with the metropolitan boroughs to provide accommodation for many of the refugees from Holland and Belgium, and appeals to house; holders for accommodation and- clothing have already met with a striking response, and in several boroughs funds for war refugees are being organised. The refugees from Holland and Belgium are expected to arrive in London in large numbers to-morrow and on subsequent days. The authorities have appealed to householders in London and adjacent parts of Essex, Middlesex, Surrey and Kent to offer accommodation to the unfortunate victims of the Nazi terror in Europe, who have been compelled to leave their ( homes by the lawless invasion of the German armies, the ruthless destruction by the German air force and the fear, which the prospects of German administration arouses everywhere since Poland has revealed that the Nazi regime treats conquered and “protected” peoples with the same savagery it uses against its political opponents at
