PARACHUTE MENACE.

ULSTER SAFEGUARDS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. May 15. Northern Ireland is taking steps to deal with the menace of enemy parachutists. The Prime Minister (Lord Craigavon) stated that he was in communication with the Whitehall authorities on the question of forming a local defence volunteer corns. In the meantime he was persuaded that Northern Ireland had a body of men ready to meet any emergency in the Special Constabulary—a force of 12.5C0 iullyamcd, trained men, stationed at every area and capable of indefinite expansion.
