CUBA STREET GUILD.
WELCOME TO MINISTER. A largo number of members of the Cuba Street Ladies’ Guild attended a social tehowship afternoon to welcome Rev.- H. Liebig and Mrs Eiebig. Mrs P. J. Meller Jed the devotions, after which the president (Mrs A. E. Fisher) welcomed those present and also Mr and Mrs Fiebig. Mrs E. Johansen, on behalf of the guild members, presented a posy to Mrs Fiebig. Two new members, Mesdames Mitchell and Jacobs, weie accepted. Correspondence was received from the W.O.T.TJ. inviting the guild to send representatives to their Centennial banquet and the secretary was instructed to accept. Mrs Fisher advised members that, with the St. Paul’s Guild, they would take charge of the patriotic shop from July 1 to 6 inclusive. Members were thanked for assisting in the making of roses for Day. Mrs Pascoe rendered a bracket of vocal solos. Mr Fiebig, the principal speaker, took as his subject, the early history of Methodism and gave a most instructive and helpful address. .■> Mrs Fiebig spoke briefly, thanking the members for the posy and for the warm welcome extended to her. A vote of thanks to Mr Fiebig, Airs Pascoe, Miss A. Dittmer (for floral decorations) and to the afternoon tea hostesses was conveyed by Alls G. H. Gilling. The tea hostesses were Alesdames AL Waugh (convener), A. Giles. J. Cribb. Chowen, A.. E. Fisher and A. H. Fisher.
