MOTHERS’ DAY PARTY. An enjoyable party, in honour of Mothers’ Day, was held in the Y.W.C.A.j last evening, when Girl Citizens and Junior Citizens entertained their mothers, there being an attendance of about 60. The hall was brightly decorated with chrysanthemums, and each mother was presented with a (posy on entering. Miss M. Jones (general secretary) welcomed the guests and gave a brief account of the origin and purpose of Mothers’ Day. A splendid musical programme was presented, those contributing being Naomi Wildborc, Dorothy Wright, Mavis Dunstan, Gwen Graham, Zelda Garrick, Joyce Turner, Joan Kingston, June Cowlishaw, Nancy Brougham, Melva Turner, and Eileen Robinson. A sketch was presented by a group of Girl Citizens' under the direction of Miss Dorothy Langridgc. Miss M Blanchard led a games period and community singing.
