GIFT EVENING.
The iesidence of Airs C. R. Kenning was the scene, recently, of a gift evening given by Aliss Joan Kenning in honour of Aliss Joan Rowntree, who is shortly to be married. Aliss Kenning received her guests wearing a navy crepe frock with white Angora bolero, the guest of honour being daintily attired in a frock of grey and white floral delaine with red Angora bolero. The room was attractively decorated with yellow and gold chrysanthemums, and the time was spent in playing cards and games. After a buffet suppei had been served in the dining-room, Aliss Rowntree opened tho many pai cels which had been brought by the guests. Those present were : Alesdames .T. Rowntree, C. R. Kenning. W. Lewis. Alisses J. Kenning, J. Rowntree, V. Royal, AY. MeCo.wan, N. Stuart, J. Selwyri, P. Manspn, K. Birnie, J. Hamilton, 11. Hepburn and AI. Thompson.
