TANGIMOANA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TANGIMOANA, May, 13. The recent flooding of the Rangitikei River caused serious trduble to owners of fishing and pleasure boats at Tarigimoana. Two launches dragged their moorings and were washed over the bar and out to sea, and a third launch is still sunk in about 9it of water in the river. Fortunately, by persistent effort, the drifting launches were brought back;, one of them had drifted about seven miles along the coast. Considerable erosion is still being caused helow the township by the flooding of the river.
At a meeting of the Tangimoaria Hall Committee bn Saturday there were present Messrs J. C. Johnson (chair). V. Martin, K. Clare, S. Hodge, R. Ayere,. H. Taylor, A. Needham, R. Webby and G. Alsop. It was decided that the seating accommodation of the hall bo increased by the purchase-of 100 tip-up chairs, and the lining of the hall is to bo proceeded j with when estimates are received. .
